Our old kitty goes through roughly a bag of Ringers per week. We replace the IV set every other bag to be on the sterile/safe side. (Our other cat went through 2 bags in 3 weeks; we'd still use the IV set on 2 consecutive bags.) So the price is good and the IV set works just as well as more expensive units.

As giving sets go, they work just fine. However, in the 24 hours between administration sessions so much air gets into the tubing that it looks as though its been carbonated. It's just a nuisance to deal with, and not something I've encountered in other brands.

I have been using these for over a year and haven't had any issues. The price is reasonable. I would highly recommend this product.

I've tried a few brands of IV sets, and I plan to stick with this one. They're good quality, DEHP free, and the price is very reasonable in comparison to the previous brand that I used that was similar quality. I've been using this brand for several months, and they consistently work well. I usually use each set 3x; (3 bags of 1000ml fluids). Sometimes the line gets crimped from being clamped, however I can easily fix it with my fingers. I use this IV set with 20 gauge Terumo needles, and administration goes quickly and smoothly. I don't notice any difference in timing from the 15 drop per ml to the 10 drop per ml IV set. For the optimal flow be sure that your hook that you hang the fluid bag on is high enough so the fluid line doesn't droop. Also, I've been shopping with Thriving Pets for about 2 years since my cat started to need fluids for CKD, and they have excellent customer service if you have any questions, and the orders ship out quickly.
