Trilostane is used to treat pituitary-dependent hyperadrenocorticism (Cushings disease) and adrenal-dependent hyperadrenocorticism (Cushings disease) in dogs. Trilostane may also be useful in treating feline and equine Cushings diseases. This drug may also be used to treat Pomeranians with Alopecia X and Alaskan Malamutes with adult-onset alopecia. Compound Trilostane capsules are for veterinary use only, should not be handled by women that are pregnant or nursing, and expire 180 days after they are compounded.
