Amoxicllin Clavulanate is a potentiated penicillin used for infections caused by susceptible bacteria. Also known as Augmentin, it is a prescription penicillin antibiotic that fights against bacteria and is commonly used in the treatment and prevention of a variety of bacterial infections such as skin, urinary, or respiratory. If your pet has been diagnosed with an infection or is susceptible to infection, your veterinarian may prescribe an antibiotic such as amoxicillin clavulanate.
