Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic prescribed to treat many common bacterial infections including urinary tract infections as well as skin and respiratory tract infections in dogs and cats. This medication may also help treat enteritis (inflammation of the intestine) that's caused by specific types of bacteria. Chloramphenicol Suspension expires 30 days from when it is compounded.
