Epakitin is a dietary supplement made up of calcium carbonate, chitosan and lactose. Calcium carbonate is not appropriate for CRF cats that are predisposed to hypercalcemia (high calcium). If your pet has high calcium, please consider Aluminum Hydroxide as a phosphorus binder.
