This set, like all of our IV sets at ThrivingPets, is appropriate for administering subQ fluids and has a roller clamp for adjusting the flow rate of the fluid. The Braun V1501 IV set does not have an injection port. These IV Sets are individually packaged and sterile.

I love that the BBraun IV administration set that Thriving Pets sells is DEHP free! I also buy my thin walled higher gauge needles from Thriving pets which are so much easier to actually push through the cat's skin which is the hardest part of giving fluids, yet the Terthin walls allow it to drip just as quickly, so you are done before the cat gets up.

Got the job done

I've ordered this to administer subcutaneous fluids to my 17 year old cat with CKD and was sad to realize I needed to order the needles separately. It took 2 more days before I could administer them and almost had to take my cat to the ER due to the delayed shipping. I wish Thriving Pets would have suggested what else to buy since this was my first time ordering and I made this mistake.

These IV work great for giving my cat his sub-q fluids daily. There is no pinching of the line where it is close from the thumb roller. Fluids flow very quickly, that’s good for both of us!! I would recommend these!!
