Lactated Ringers Inj USP also known as Lactated Ringers Solution (LRS) is used for the treatment of dehydration and electrolyte depletion in animals. May be injected intravenously, subcutaneously or intraperitoneally (except horses) using aseptic technique. Lactated Ringers comes in 2 different types of bags- DEHP-Free bags from Braun, which is the item you are looking at, and the old style is PVC (Poly-vinyl Chloride) and contains a chemical, plastic softener called DEHP. According to the FDA, "Exposure to DEHP has produced a range of adverse effects in experimental animals, but those of greatest concern involve effects on the development of the testicles and the production of normal sperm in young animals." The FDA requires a written disclosure on products containing DEHP. Fluids are very heavy, about 2.5 pounds per bag or just over 30 pounds for a case of 12 bags.

I'm new to this item, giving 150ml subcutaneous daily to my cat who has kidney disease. It looks to be as good quality as the one the vet sells for three times as much. Comes in a sealed outer clear plastic bag. I'm no expert so have no idea how to score this item. It's a clear solution in the bag, I suppose we have to trust it's what it says it is in the bag. The IV tubing I bought with the fluid fits the bag. My only very minor criticism is the scale on the side of the bag is a bit confusing at first. If you like the price, I'd recommend this item. Be aware that if you need this as a prescription item, the seller I purchased from took a couple of weeks to get the ok from my vet to ship the item to me. That's ok if you have the time to wait. I didn't, and had to go back to the vet and pay their high prices when I ran out. But the seller got it to me after a couple of weeks, well packed with good shipping. So a 4 score from me, I don't know enough about it to give it a 5.
They are all that one would expect of fluid bags. Work perfectly.
