Terumo needles are the needles of choice for administering sub-cutaneous fluids. Many consider 18 gauge needles to be too large for cats and small dogs, 20 gauge needles may be more appropriate for these pets.

These seem to work better for my cat than regular 18 gauge.

I had read that many cats tolerate subQ fluid administration better with these thin walled needles. I've used them twice and my cat did much better. He didn't seem to notice the needle insertion with these and stayed still during the fluid administration. I'm very pleased with them.

Highly recommend

I do like these needles and will continue using them. They seem to glide right in to the pet with no reaction from the pet showing discomfort. This needle worked very well using it on a 5 week old kitten as well with no discomfort as it was inserted. Highly recommend.
