The 20 gauge Terumo needles are thin wall (TW) needles- which makes them easier to insert in the skin and allows the fluid to flow faster. Although the label has changed to Thin Wall (TW), these are the exact same needles that were previously labeled as Ultra Thin Wall needles. The label has changed, the product has not. Terumo needles are the needles of choice for administering sub-cutaneous fluids. Many consider 20 gauge needles may be the most appropriate gauge for cats and small dogs. Flow rate for 100ml- 1:59.

Using Terumo needles for my cat’s daily sub q administration has made all the difference. With the regular needles from my vet, he would often hiss in discomfort. That doesn’t happen with THESE needles, and knowing that I am not hurting him has helped me face this daily ritual. I would also highly recommend combining use of Terumo needles with the EZIV cat harness for sub cutaneous fluids. It is a winning combo and you’ll never need a vet tech’s help again. Easier for your kitty and you! It’s also a great feeling to be able to buy a whole box of needles instead of being given a week’s worth from your vet. Thin walled Terumo are the best, it REALLY does make a big difference!!!! My cat seems to hardly notice at all and keeps eating his treats. I highly recommend these needles.
