The 20 gauge Terumo needles are thin wall (TW) needles- which makes them easier to insert in the skin and allows the fluid to flow faster. Although the label has changed to Thin Wall (TW), these are the exact same needles that were previously labeled as Ultra Thin Wall needles. The label has changed, the product has not. Terumo needles are the needles of choice for administering sub-cutaneous fluids. Many consider 20 gauge needles may be the most appropriate gauge for cats and small dogs. Flow rate for 100ml- 1:59.

Terumo 20 Gauge Needles are an excellent choice to give subcutaneous injections to your cat. I have given fluids to two cats and assisted friends learning how to give fluids for more than eight years. I have never had an issue with these needles and consider Terumo the preferred choice over the needles your Vet might supply. The Terumo needles glide in smoothly, and my cat remains calm.
