ThrivingPets Kidney Probiotic Capsules are specifically formulated to benefit cats and small dogs with kidney disease. ThrivingPets Kidney Probiotic is a propietary formulation of beneficial bacteria to support normal renal health. Each capsule contains 15 Billion Colony Forming Units (CFU) of beneficial bacteria. Compare to Azodyl. Does not contain Psyllium Husk which may cause GI upset. Does not contain Titanium Dioxide. Capsule size #3. Refrigerate on arrival. Store in refrigerator. This product is not returnable because it is a refrigerated item. Expiration date- March 19, 2026.
Ingredients:
Probiotics- Streptococcus thermophilus, Lactobacilus acidophilus, and Bifidobacterium longum.
Prebiotics- Fructo-oligosaccharides .
Inactive ingredients- Inulin, Magnesium Stearate.
Dosing:
Cats and Dogs under 5 pounds- 1 capsule once daily.
Cats and Dogs from 5 to 10 pounds- 1 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule in the evening.
Cats and Dogs from 10.1 to 15 pounds- 2 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule in the evening.
The probiotics may be administered as an intact capsule or opened and given as powder. For the best results, please separate from the main meals and administer with a bite of a high fat food like butter or cream cheese.

I bought the large and medium capsules for my 2 CKD cats and I have seen in a matter of a week a good reduction in the number of times they have a wee, from 6/7 times a day to 4/5 a day. The one problem I have had is to give the probiotics mixed with a tiny bit of food which I can't do with my bigger cat who can detect the powder and refuses to eat it so I have to use more food and split the capsule in 2. Also, living in the UK, I was slapped with an additional $80 for custom taxes which made it a very expensive purchase but I believe it is all worth it. We shall see that next month when they have their blood work.
Product arrived quickly for my Tigger. His numbers have improved since using the Kidney Probiotic capsules. I will definitely continue to order from ThrivingPets.
